Arizona Mad Moms is a family-led education, advocacy, and support organization. Mad Moms Services & Educational Fund (MMSEF) is the nonprofit organization supporting this work.
Our information, guides, checklists, forms, templates, educational materials, family support, and navigation assistance are intended to help families better understand and navigate systems affecting people with serious mental illness (SMI). Much of this information is informed by the lived experience of families and caregivers who have navigated these systems themselves.
We are not a healthcare provider or law firm, and our family advocates and volunteers do not provide medical or legal advice unless a specifically identified licensed professional is providing services within the scope of that professional's separate role.

Information provided by Arizona Mad Moms or MMSEF is for educational and informational purposes and is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional.
Families should consult an appropriately licensed physician, psychiatrist, or other healthcare professional regarding an individual's medical condition, medications, treatment, diagnosis, or healthcare decisions. Receiving information or assistance from Arizona Mad Moms or MMSEF does not create an attorney-client, physician-patient, therapist-patient, case-management, or other professional relationship.
Emergencies and Crisis Situations
Arizona Mad Moms and MMSEF are not emergency or crisis-response services and cannot monitor communications continuously.
If you believe someone is experiencing an immediate medical or safety emergency, contact 911 or the appropriate local emergency service. For behavioral-health crisis assistance, 988 may also be available. Families should use the emergency or crisis resource appropriate to their particular circumstances.
Forms, Guides and Templates
Our forms, guides, checklists, sample letters, and other resources are provided as general educational tools. They may need to be modified for an individual's circumstances and should not be assumed to satisfy the requirements of a particular healthcare provider, court, government agency, law-enforcement agency, or other organization.
We make reasonable efforts to provide useful and current information, but we cannot guarantee that every resource is complete, current, error-free, or appropriate for every situation.
