Arizona Mad Moms was built by families who refused to let the system fail another person with serious mental illness.
Born From Tragedy.
Built on Determination.
Arizona Mad Moms was founded in January 2024 by Crystal Fox, RN, BSN — a psychiatric nurse with 30 years of experience — and Rachel Streiff, B.S. CHE, a chemical and biomedical engineer.
Crystal's son Joshua, who lived with schizophrenia, killed his father John during a psychotic episode — and later died by suicide in prison. The system failed Joshua. It failed John. It failed their entire family.
That failure became fuel. Crystal and Rachel channeled their grief into a movement that has grown from a handful of desperate families to over 700 members.

B.S. CHE · Chemical & Biomedical Engineer · Co-Founder · Rachel is a chemical engineer and Six Sigma Black Belt, and a co-founder of Arizona Mad Moms. She is a registered family mentor through the CURESZ Foundation, sits on the public policy committee of the Schizophrenia and Psychosis Action Alliance, and is a founding member of The Angry Moms — a national campaign to end discrimination against treatment-resistant schizophrenia and expand access to clozapine.
